This is a 300-bed Tertiary Teaching Facility that provides acute care facilities and treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients annually. The busy Emergency Department has 43 treatment beds, with an annual presentation of over 45,000 patients and an admission rate of 35%. The accredited hospital has a close partnership with the University of Tasmania through the clinical school.The Position
A fantastic opportunity has become available to work in a high performing department joining a dedicated and cohesive team for a Staff Specialist role in the Intensive Care Unit.

  • Level 3 ICU department
  • 12 bed mixed medical & surgical adult ICU
  • 5 ICU Staff Specialist team
  • Large team of junior support
  • Participate in the education and training of ICU trainees, medical students, ICU nurses and junior doctors
  • Full time role

The Requirements
To apply you will need to have completed one of the following:

  • Currently hold AHPRA Registration or eligible to obtain
  • FCICM
  • Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland
  • Have had your specialist training assessed by the CICM and have been found to be comparable
