Company DescriptionWe are seeking an expression of interest to join our dynamic team as a casual Social Media Producer for 9News Sydney. Reporting to the News Social Lead, you’ll work closely with the 9News Sydney team to shape and execute social media strategy, integrate content into daily news, and boost audience engagement. Your key tasks will include creating compelling videos, stories, and copy while using insights to refine our social strategy. This is a fast-paced role where your creativity will make a real impact.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities include:
- Execute social media strategy for 9News Sydney, including tone, frequency, and moderation.
- Manage all 9News Sydney social media platforms.
- Collaborate with producers and reporters to create and publish original, shareable content.
- Maximise social media reach, engagement, and referral traffic.
- Maintain community management and moderation per network strategy.
- Implement brand social media marketing campaigns.
- Develop and share insights with the Head of Social and relevant teams.
QualificationsWhat we would love to see on your resume:
- Strong knowledge of all social media platforms and emerging trends; practical experience with large-scale brands preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practical experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Prior experience in broadcast news and/or digital news
- Must have genuine interest in daily news and current affairs
- Ability to analyse, review and report on the effectiveness of content and audience sentiment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
