About your opportunity:

Permanent part-time / 60.8 hours per fortnight / Location: Kirwan Health Campus, Townsville

The Physiotherapist will work within a community based, multidisciplinary, developmental paediatric allied health service and deliver base level physiotherapy clinical services to children with complex needs.

This service aims to provide integrated and holistic assessment and management to children within a family centred and transdisciplinary model of care and support transition to ongoing early intervention services where indicated.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Deliver a base level clinical services (which includes assessment, analysis, health specific intervention, and case management) for children with complex development delays.
  • Work co-operatively and effectively in a transdisciplinary, community based paediatric allied health team.
  • Undertake your practice within a family partnership framework.
  • Demonstrate effective communication in both clinical and operational domains with clients, managers, peers and other stakeholders.
  • Support the clinical supervision of students at Child Development Service.
  • Actively participate in service planning and development within the Child Development Service.

Generous remuneration package value up to $106,184 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $38.70 to $58.67 p.h. (HP3)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • Proof of qualification (Physiotherapy) and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Possession of class C drivers’ licence.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
