Overview
Yorke & Northern Region encompasses a wide range of hospitals in rural and remote areas of the Yorke Peninsula and the mid-north of SA. This position, based in the Region, provides administrative support to the Director Medical Services (DMS) in relation to his/her role within the Yorke & Northern Region.
Yorke & Northern Region is growing in size, catchment and complexity and is supported by an increasing number of salaried medical staff, VMO’s, junior doctors, visiting FFS doctors and locums.
The role of Medical Liaison Officer is to support the Executive Director Medical Services in strategically planning the development of positions, appointment and rostering of medical staff in a manner which will ensure the ongoing provision of high quality services in the Region’s Hospitals 24 hours per day.
The Medical Liaison Officer, reporting to the Executive Director Medical Services, has a key role in the effective staffing of medical services throughout the Region and the effective functioning of Medical Administration throughout the Yorke & Northern Region.
Eligibility
Applicants must have proven:
- experience in providing a confidential and professional administrative support service to executive level staff with efficiency and accuracy;
- extensive experience in providing accurate and professional administrative services to executive and committees including minute taking, preparing agendas and other relevant material and attending to relevant action items;
- experience in establishing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures;
- experience in undertaking minor research projects, including the compilation of data and the preparation of briefing documents and summary reports.
