Junior Category Manager – 15 Month Secondment

We are seeking a Procurement expert, internally known as a Junior Category Manager, with a keen understanding of indirect spend categories and a knack for building strong relationships. You’ll facilitate the end-to-end procurement process, from request for quotation/information/proposal through to negotiation and contract finalisation.If you have a passion for enhancing services, reducing costs, and driving value-driven outcomes, then this is the role for you.   • Cultivate a deep understanding of business unit objectives and foster strong relationships with key category stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to support business goals and objectives
  • Showcase leadership in all procurement sourcing activities
  • Collaborate with senior procurement category managers to oversee supplier sourcing process, ensuring stakeholder alignment and adherence to Procurement Framework
  • Lead tender and sourcing processes with guidance from senior category managers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors throughout sourcing projects
  • Ensure adherence to Bank Policies and procedures to maintain compliance

What we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability in procurement processes with 2+ years’ experience
  • An excellent communicator with exceptional verbal, written, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office with exposure to accounting and procurement systems i.e. PeopleSoft or similar (PeopleSoft will be highly regarded)
  • Experience in drafting tender documents and appraisals
