Access theThe RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Home Care Coordinator (Commonwealth Home Support Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will

  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection activities, rostering, payroll functions, orientation, supervision and ongoing training of all Home Care Workers
  • Gather, analyse and compile accurate data and statistics for reporting purposes.
  • Utilise resources effectively to provide a quality cost effective service in line with budgetary allocations
  • Manage complaints and apply conflict resolution techniques to resolve complex client and staff issues in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
  • Apply problem solving skills to complex issues and negotiate solutions utilising advanced communication skills

About youTo be successful in this position you will require:

  • Aged Care Check (GCH will cover cost)
  • Drivers Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months, with possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $92 160 – $97 157 per annum
