Job Description:The objectives of this role are:
- Assist with HSE management plan actions involving employee awareness of risks and to reduce, avoid and protect employees from hazards in the workplace, including occupational illness or disease.
- Assists in the implementation of programs to maintain and improve the general health and safety of all employees
Responsibilities:This role will be involved with:
- Provide HSE advice, guidance, assistance and support to the Assignment.
- Facilitate consultative processes to improve communication and participation in HSEQ, promote the Health and Well-being of personnel and take the actions required to reduce our environment footprint
- Coach or otherwise develop the competencies of personnel to contribute to workplace and community HSEQ with a particular focus on
- Confined spaces, workplace inspections, Health and Wellbeing, Environmental impacts and aspects, Material storage handing and use (including hazardous chemicals).
- Facilitate the timely response to HSE issues and incidents, including the recording, reporting and analyses of HSEQ leading and lagging performance metrics.
Qualifications:Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Demonstrate balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
- Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context
- Professional demeanour, interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
- Flexible with a can-do attitude
- Mobile and willing to spend time away from office location as and when operation requires
