The Finance Business Partner role sits within the Real Estate Advisory team and will work closely with Corporate Finance members, along with the executive and national operations Real Estate Advisory team.
The scope and purpose of this role includes:
- Ensuring the service line operates in a strong internal control environment
- Ensuring corporate policies and procedures are communicated, managed and deviations are identified
- Timely delivery of accurate and insightful financial information for commercial decision making
- Developing operational and financial KPIs and key strategic/tactical levers
- Responsible for developing and finalising annual/long-range operating plan, forecasts, pipeline, productivity and profitability
About the role:
- Lead accurate and timely monthly/quarterly reporting by providing insights on performance, variance, key risks, and opportunities
- Understand and provide insightful analytics on business transactions including revenue recognition, unbilled revenue, cost accruals, client recoverables, marketing activities, and its impact to service margins
- Ensure the financial position of the business is correctly stated through monthly/quarterly reconciliations
- Support operational stakeholders with meaningful analysis and financial data enabling effective decision making to deliver margin across the business
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan working with the business leaders to ensure targets meet the requirements of the CRE growth strategy
- Support the business in developing business case/investment proposal and monitor related ROIs
- Ensuring correct business units are set up on reporting systems
- Developing job costing tools, time sheet trackers, team utilization and job profitability
- Accounting policies, principles and methodology
- Support Finance Manager in Systems data management and maintenance (JDE, Workday, Essbase, Blackline, Calidus)
- Create and maintain data modelling using Essbase, Adaptive, Excel and Power BI
About You:
- 5 – 7 years of work experience, preferably within a consultancy services industry
- Strong commercial background and finance background
- Must have budgeting and forecasting experience – Excel and Power BI
- Ability to collaborate with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders to achieve outstanding business outcomes; a trusted business partner
- Experience working in a large, listed organization with regional reporting relationships
- Must be CA or CPA qualified
- Knowledge in MS Office Suite of Products (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PPT, Power BI)
- Knowledge in Hyperion HFM & ESSBASE (Consolidation), JD Edwards (ERP), Workday (ERP) preferred but not essential
