The Opportunity
As a Disability Justice Clinician you will:
- Participate as a member of the Disability Justice Service to provide positive behaviour support interventions, using person / family centred practice, and employing the Good Lives and Risk Need Responsivity models to support individuals interfacing with the justice system.
- Contribute professional skills and knowledge, including discipline specific expertise, to enhance team functioning and encourage positive results for individuals.
- Work in conjunction with a range of stakeholders, including families, disability sector organisations, guardians/advocates and other agencies (both government and non-government).
There are currently some fixed term contract positions available for immediate filling for a period of 3 to 6 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanent appointment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A tertiary degree or qualification approved equivalent in one of the following:
- Tertiary degree qualification in Social Work AND eligible for Ordinary Membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);
- Tertiary degree qualification in Speech Pathology AND eligible for ‘Certified Practising Membership’ with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA);
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification approved by the Occupational Therapists Board of Australia AND eligible for General Registration on the register of Occupational Therapists with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Masters Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification approved by the Psychology Board of Australia AND ‘General Registration’ on the register of Psychologists AND working towards endorsement* with AHPRA in one of the following approved areas of practice: Clinical, Forensic, Educational and Developmental or Counselling
Qualification Requirements for Progression of Clinicians/Psychologists to Specified Callings Level 3:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification approved by the Psychology Board of Australia AND ‘General Registration’ on the register of Psychologists WITH endorsement in an approved area of practice (Clinical, Forensic, Educational and Developmental, Counselling) with AHPRA.
