Works with the Operations Manager to support corporate governance of BSWA; partners with service leaders in the development and delivery of strategies which support continuous improvement in practices and processes in the delivery of BSWA services; leads with the Operations Manager the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans to ensure the provision of personalised, safe, effective and timely care for all patients.This role reports to the Medical Co-Director.What we are looking forA highly capable and values-driven medical professional to join our dynamic BreastScreen WA team at Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS). During the selection process you will be assessed on your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this position while upholding our values.Area ProfileThe BreastScreen WA program provides free screening mammograms to asymptomatic women and specifically targets women aged 50 to 74 years, as the scientific evidence of benefit from screening mammography is greatest for women in this age group. However, all women 40 years or over are eligible to attend.Since March 1989 more than 2 million screening mammograms have been performed at a BreastScreen WA service.BreastScreen WA has thirteen permanent screening clinics located at Albany, Bunbury, Cannington, Cockburn, David Jones Rose Clinic (Perth city store), Joondalup, Mandurah, Midland, Mirrabooka, Padbury, East Perth (Mardalup), Rockingham and Wanneroo.Four mobile BreastScreen WA services visit about 100 outer metropolitan and rural towns every two years. Some towns are visited annually.The Program is part of the national BreastScreen Australia program and is governed by the National Accreditation Standards. In Western Australia, the state wide program is under the jurisdiction of the North Metropolitan Health Service of the Health Department of Western Australia.What we offerThe advertised sessional rate equates to MP Year 1-9 $336,466 – $427,886 p.a. pro rata. The position also offers an attractive Head of Department allowance, equating to two additonal sessions paid, per week, at Arrangement B Salary rate.
