Our Centre
We provide before school care, after school care, vacation care and kindy care for up to 150 children whilst striving to meet the needs of each child and family every day. St Benedict’s Outside School Hours Care is located within the St Benedict’s Primary School community. We provide care for children from kindergarten to grade six.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Outside School Hours Care Coordinator to lead our service, St Benedict’s located in Mango Hill on a permanent, full time basis (38 hours per week). This is a non-contact role.

To be successful in this role, you will bring positive energy and welcoming demeanour to maintain strong networks with children, families and stakeholders. This role will share the same passion we all have for the children’s development and wellbeing, along with the support of the team of fantastic Educators. Reporting to the Manager, Service Operations, you will be someone who has a passion for leadership and you will be able to guide and mentor a team of dedicated educators.

Remuneration: from level 6.4 to level 6.6 is $40.3326 to $41.1908 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks
  • Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • A strong understanding of Child Care legislation including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place
  • Effective computer skills including experience with child care management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
