Job Description:This role is part of the Franchise Support team which provides support and services to Franchisees and the rest of the group to facilitate the development and growth of the Franchise Group.You will reap the rewards of being part of a savvy, professional, and driven commercial business, while also enjoying the close-knit, supportive and down to earth team.A high level of attention to detail is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within the team and external stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. You will also be able to think independently to solve problems, show initiative and be able to deal with competing priorities.Duties will include:

  • Management of accounts receivable and payables.
  • Prepare all month-end accounting requirements including calculating and processing of journals, and all relevant reconciliations.
  • Managing bank payments and reconciliation of accounts for end of month reporting
  • Preparation of General Ledger for quarterly BAS requirements
  • Develop and prepare forecasts including forward cash flow and working capital requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver the annual financial report with the assistance of external accountants.
  • Company Visa Debit card reconciliation and collation of expense receipts
  • Managing bank payments and reconciliation of accounts for end of month reporting
  • Manage Supplier Sales Rebate data collation and invoicing
  • Prepare payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and employment contracts.
  • Produce accurate business reports including the P&L, Balance Sheet, AP/AC reports and others as required.

Your profile:To be considered for this role, we are looking for an experienced Company Accountant who has the following attributes:

  • CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and compliance
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Full, unrestricted working rights within Australia
