- Salary – Classification – RN/M2C – Clinical Nurse / Midwife LV2 – $84,870 to $107,279
- Additionally an allowance of up to 30% is payable for time worked in APY lands

About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAFHS Country North Team for a dedicated and passionate Clinical Nurse in a full time capacity, on a 12 month contract until 15 August 2025. This role is based in Metropolitan Adelaide, with an intrinsic part being travelling periodically to the APY lands.As part of our commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal women, children and families, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced staff to provide child and family health and wellbeing services to babies, children, young people and their families living in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yanunytjatjara (APY) Lands.WCHN’s new Integrated Model of Care is designed to be responsive to the social and cultural considerations that are impacting the health of Anangu people who live in the APY Land communities.As the CAFHS Clinical Nurse, you will;
- Closely work with the Aboriginal Cultural Child and Family Support Consultants to provide child and family health care in the remote APY regions.
- Provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings.
- Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience.
About YouTo be successful for this role, you should have:
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting.
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
- Knowledge of contemporary professional nursing/midwifery and health care issues

Each year, CaFHS provides over 75,000 family consultations via in clinic or at home appointments, telehealth (phone) or virtually.South Australia records approximately 20,000 births each year and CaFHS offers an in-home initial 4 health and development check at 1 to 4 weeks of age, to support the infant and family’s health, wellbeing and development.
