One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.Together we will make our education system the best it can be.When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About the Role:The Project Support Officer, Premier’s Reading Challenge, will contribute administrative and project support to ensure the Challenge is delivered effectively each year – within budget, on time and meeting the needs of all stakeholders (Premier, Minister, Department, School communities and critically, students).What you will do:

  • Coordinate communication with users (schools, libraries, families, interested parties) to ensure customer satisfaction and Premier’s Reading Challenge success.
  • Manage and maintain the PRC website and data-base content.
  • Monitor the progress of the PRC via the database and contribute to managerial report on PRC success.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Challenge, seeking to enhance existing practices by undertaking relevant research and project work.
  • Manage basic finance processes (invoicing, reconciling, etc.) and support fellow workers (e.g. contribute to Premier’s be active Challenge if required, train temp workers).
  • Coordinate and provide a range of administrative and project support functions that contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the PRC within tight timeframes.

Special Conditions:The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
