An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to work on the implementation of a Data Project.Our client is seeking an Archive Officer for 6 months with potential extension, located in Canberra for a Full Time role.An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to work on the implementation of initiatives as part of the Data Audit project. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of the standards issued under the Territory Records Act 2002, They will have excellent stakeholder relationship skills, demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to deliver results.Key accountabilities
- Implement, and facilitate outcomes for the data audit program for electronic records (the systems), including provide authoritative and expert advice to key stakeholders on new and emerging issues in relation to the systems.
- Document and map existing information manage processes and practices.
- Appraise and sentence electronic records in accordance with relevant disposal schedules.
- Model, document, and assist with the implementation (where applicable) of new workflows and operating procedures to manage digital information.
- Provide assistance on records and information lifecycle practices for new technology and digital transition projects.
- Support the Project and Records Management teams as directed by managers.
- Other duties and related projects as required.
Key selection criteria
- Experience in appraisal, arrangement, description and sentencing of physical and electronic records.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in implementing the standards issued under the Territory Records Act 2002.
- Demonstrated experience in developing project documentation, reports, options and providing recommendations to senior management.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and leading archiving programs, including setting clearly defined objectives, and identifying processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal.
- Experience working co-operatively, inclusively, sharing knowledge and information.
- An ability to display initiative and flexibility, be responsive and provide the required outcomes in a timely manner.
Experience and qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or similar work experience in Information Management or Records Management discipline or other industry-specific accreditations will be highly regarded.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements and records management processes and procedures in the identification and sentencing of records.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, taking pride in providing solutions and delivering outstanding service.
- Desirable: Experience with migration and integration of records between EDRMS and systems. Use of DataPort would be advantageous.
