Casual opportunity.The OpportunityThis is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours. The role supports and encompasses bed management and patient flow, ensuring high quality patient care and outcomes, is responsible for the after-hours running of the facility, including policy compliance, processes and services.Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead a passionate team of nurses and collaboratively work and consult with on-shift doctors to ensure the best practice and patient outcomes are achieved.The ability to work weekend and evening shifts is essential for this role.Your Skills and ExperiencesYou are a positive and effective leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Along with your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you can successfully engage, motivate and influence others.You will also bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within an acute care setting
  • Effective rostering skills
  • Extensive experience in incident and complaint management
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice.
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • ALS and PALS qualifications or willingness to work towards
  • Tertiary qualification of Health Management or working towards highly regarded

RemunerationOn offer is a base hourly rate of $60.18 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.What’s in it for you?
