Remuneration: OPS3 ($67,589 – $72,033 p.a.) + 11.5% SuperannuationRole DetailsThis position is only open to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent only pursuant to Section 56 (2) of the Equal Opportunity Act, 1984.The Department for Child Protection is seeking an Aboriginal Adventure Activity Instructor, Child & Youth Worker to join on a full-time ongoing basis.The role is responsible for:

• Developing, delivering and reviewing programs in conjunction with the Team Leader, focusing on the emotional, physical, cultural, educational and behavioural development for Aboriginal children and Young people.
• Building and maintaining working relationships with relevant cultural leaders, agencies, associations and communities to share resources and coordinate connected services.
• Involving young people in decisions which affect them and consider their options when formulating programs.
• Undertaking research to identify best practices and alternative options, providing written and oral reports.
