Quality Assurance Assistant

This role will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Team in all areas of quality assurance and administration whilst ensuring the integrity of the design concept, and the quality and fit of apparel is maintained to Forever New standards.You are a self-motivated, fashion enthusiast with a passion for fabric construction including pattern making, through to sample development and bulk production. With a pinnacle attention to detail, you seek to continue your career within QA/Production.Get excited to:

• Attend design briefs with QA and Buying teams ensuring a clear understanding of the style requirements.
• Work with the QA Officer to assess the sample to review garment construction e.g. tension, fabric type, garment make and provide feedback to offshore offices if it does not meet QA requirements under the guidance of the QA Officer
• Assist in accurately reporting garment sample measurements and pressing prior to fitting
• Identify opportunities for sample improvement under the supervision of the QA Officer and document any comments that may impact delivery i.e. re-work, re-style, extra sample
• Assist the QA Officer to ensure that clear and detailed fit comments are provided to the offshore offices within the required timeline
• Actively participate in the final approval of each style with the QA Officer
• Under the direction of the QA Officer ensure communication with factories is clear and detailed with regard to the style and fit requirements referring to the style specification sheet
• Under the direction of the QA Manager provide administration support to the QA team

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US

• Graduate and/or work experience within the fashion or related industry
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
• Computer literacy in a purchase order system and/or QA system
• A basic understanding of the critical path elements and how they interact
