The Senior BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Business Intelligence solutions that enables TAFE SA to leverage data for strategic decision-making and increase business intelligence capability. They ensure data is transformed into actionable insights through effective data modelling, ETL processes, BI tool implementation, and performance optimisation. The role provides expert advice to the technical planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of specialist Business Intelligence products and involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, ensuring data governance and security, and driving innovation in BI technologies and practices.To be successful you will need:

• Extensive experience with data warehouse concepts and principles, performance optimisation and integrating business intelligence reporting into enterprise data models.
• Extensive experience working with relational databases, SQL, DAX, ETL processes, dimensional and normalised databases including star/snowflake schemas. Experience in MSBI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), SSIS package development, SSAS cube creation, SSRS report building and Power Apps.
• Extensive experience in the successful delivery of Business Intelligence projects, from planning and development to implementation and documentation.
• Possess the ability to lead interviews of both technical and business personnel.
• Extensive knowledge of data governance, including data management, quality and security.
• Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team under broad direction.
• Have experience presenting technical concepts to managers and providing advice on solutions.
• Manages complex tasks and personal workload within high standard and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Degree or tertiary qualification in an IT, Computer Science, Datra Science or a related field is essential, and relevant Microsoft certifications, or other relevant qualifications.
