An exciting opportunity exists for Senior Occupational Therapist to join the experienced Early Intervention Service (EIS) at Lower North Shore Community Health Centre.Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 14 September 2025 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $2,081.22 – $2,148.66 per week

Lower North Shore Community Health Centre, St LeonardsWhat you’ll be doing

  • Providing early intervention services as member of a multidisciplinary mental health team which offers triage, assessment, treatment, ongoing intensive case management, assertive follow up and discharge planning to consumers experiencing a first episode psychosis.
  • Providing discipline specific interventions including functional assessments.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated experience in the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol context, with a sound understanding of the contemporary issues and challenges in MHDA clinical service delivery.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Early Intervention in First Episode Psychosis and knowledge of best practice early intervention guidelines for consumers aged 18 – 30 years.
  • Demonstrated experience of comprehensive mental health assessment and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
  • Demonstrated competency in providing discipline specific interventions.
