Cake Decorator – Full Time

• Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 5 am or finishing as late as 7 pm.

Description of position:Cuts, fills and ices cakes. Decorates and writes messages on cakes using pastry bags and tips. Packages cakes for special order and back stock.Key Criteria:

• Checks cake order stand for special orders.
• Pulls stock from freezer or cooler to fill merchandising area.
• De-pans, garnishes and packages baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies and fruit tarts. Places finished product on racks and transfers racks to cooler, freezer or wrapping area.
• Checks production schedule for daily needs. Processes all cakes following assembly instruction in Cake Decorating Manual.
• Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
• Provides prompt and courteous member service.
• Keeps decorating area clean and clear of debris. Follows safety and security procedures.
• Follows SSOP guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
• Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification and all safety training required by warehouse and department.

Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:

• Assists with front end duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Education/Training: High School Certificate or Higher
• Experience: Cake decorating experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Cake decorating experience preferred but not required
