We are looking for a suitably trained radiographer to join the multidisciplinary imaging department at Children’s Hospital Westmead. We are advertising the position to a Level 3 Grade 3 for the applicant with the appropriate post graduate qualification in MRI or US. We will also consider all levels of radiographers from new graduates if the radiographer with the appropriate skill set is not available so please apply.What you’ll be doingTo perform quality diagnostic imaging procedures as required by various medical and surgical departments within the policy and procedures Purpose of position Guideline of The Children’s Hospital Westmead.
- Eligible to ASMIRT membership or equivalent. Valid and appropriate radiation licence and registration.
- Perform all general medical imaging procedures and quality control of imaging outputs in accordance with the Department policies and procedures.
- Record in Radiology Information System all procedures performed immediately and accurately.
- Applicant must process Post graduate qualification specializing in MRI, preferably with paediatric experience.
- Demonstrated competency in complex MRI imaging techniques.
- Participate in the process of identifying improvements and provision of activities in the Department and support implementation of changes/initiatives/programs.
- Act as a mentor to junior radiographers, undergraduate students providing assistance and advice regarding imaging methodology and patient care
- Assist to provide patients, carers and the public information in relation MRI and General Medical Imaging procedures
