• Manage a team responsible for provision of network and access advice to Tasmanian heavy vehicle operators and other road managers.
• Manage the access consent process for the State Road Network in accordance with the parameters set by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
• Provide advice on the impact on national reforms on the management and operation of the State Road Network and develop network management response to those reforms.
• Provide guidance to ensure that strategic merit is optimised in the development of road networks and access.
• Form effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the NHVR, road freight sector, commercial freight demanders, Local Government road managers, Local Government Association of Tasmania, Regional Development Australia (Tasmania) as well as internal stakeholders to achieve collaborative outcomes within relevant constraints.
• Prepare high quality reports, presentation material and correspondence for a range of internal and external stakeholders and clients.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the 10 year infrastructure investment plan relating to the freight efficiency investment stream.
