Raw Ingredient Technologist

Job Description:Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast-moving product development environment within ANZ raw material portfolio?That opportunity now exists for a Raw Technologist to join our friendly and inclusive team at our Mars Pet Nutrition Wodonga site.Leveraging your technical and stakeholder management skills, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders and provide the technical execution for the deployment, development and maintenance of the ANZ raw material portfolio. Through the following of robust systems & processes that ensure right first-time development of new raw materials & ensure the ongoing compliance to Mars standards, you will be presented with the opportunity to learn and understand supplier capability globally in order to support local needs.What are we looking for?Experience working in: product formulation, manufacturing processes, raw material functionality and/or pet nutrition is essentialExperience in quality/food backgroundBSc/MSc/PhD in Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Food Technologist (or similar)Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement/partneringExperience in a business environment including within R&D or an equivalent technical functionWhat will be your key responsibilities?Collaborate with SQA and Commerical to ensure suppliers deliver fit for purpose raw materials as defined by the raw material specification & material risk assessmentResponsible for the deployment of globally directed raw material initiativesParticipate in the development of new raw materials, completing material risk assessments, updating the nutrient matrix, writing the raw material specifications and providing the formulations team with the inputs to enable development of safe, nutritious pet food.Ensure the raw material portfolio is fit for purpose and incidents investigated and corrective actions put in place in a timely and efficient mannerWhat can you expect from Mars?Genuine career progression with a focus on you and your career goals.
