Access theYour new opportunityJoin our team at Queensland Treasury and take on the responsibility of project managing the successful delivery of facilities services and projects. Treasury have 2 permanent Facilities Officer roles available, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.Reporting to the Team Leader, Facilities, you will collaborate with various stakeholders within Queensland Treasury to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. With no supervisory responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to focus on your core responsibilities and make a significant impact.The successful candidate will be required to work business hours Monday to Friday and occasionally on weekends (overtime will be paid) to meet the operational needs of the Department.In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement local strategies, procedures, and work practices to enhance facilities management across disciplines such as waste management and building emergency procedures.
  • Plan and execute facilities services and projects that align with our evolving business needs, including office relocations, fit-outs, and maintenance.
  • Analyse and interpret information to provide valuable guidance to staff and customers.
  • Manage critical requests for accommodation-related issues with the support of senior management.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, negotiating and overseeing support services to ensure optimal facility operations.
  • Foster a strong client focus and a commitment to delivering quality services based on recognized best practices, continuous process improvement, and value for money.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, documentation, and standards, including internal policies and intranet publishing.

What experience you will bring:To be successful in this role you will need some Facilities Management skills and experience.The following skills would be highly desired:

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience writing process documents and internal communications
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Word
