You will be encouraged to think innovatively whilst developing and maintaining applications that utilise modern architecture patterns and tooling.We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Developer (with Strong Back-End Skills) to drive development initiatives within Jetstar Group.Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, this role will work closely with other business areas, external suppliers and agencies to define functional requirements into working functionality by developing high-quality code for JetstarKey responsibilities of this role are:Develop well-designed, high-quality, high performing, tested and efficient codeWork with team members to achieve project/business goals and clearly communicate technical options and trade-offs with business usersEmbrace and enhance development standards of the teamStay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in software developmentParticipate and continually improve all necessary development process, such as task estimation, solution design, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, pair-programming and retrospectives to drive team productivityHelp capture and document business and interface functionality requirements as basis for developmentGuiding the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unitMentor other junior technical team members to deliver high quality, well-designed software.safely managing security and data privacy concernsProvide advice and direction to management on system development issuesPerform tasks delegated by your ManagerTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:At least a ​Bachelor’s degree in Computing/Information SystemsStrong coding abilities. In depth knowledge of at least one programming language.5 + Years’ Experience working as a .NET Developer (C#)Agile and Lean software development practicesskills in most or all of the following: Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing best practices and DevOpsKnowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), their services and microservices architecture.Experience with containerization technology concepts, such as Docker, and orchestration with KubernetesSelf-motivated fast learner. Keep yourself updated with latest technological trends and quick in picking up new technology.Speed and quality. Strive on achieving both speed and quality.Strong ownership of the code base and are able to work eagerly to ensure code is fast and elegant.
