Access theYou will work in a collaborative, team-based environment. Across the Technical Governance functional area, you will participate in a range of activities that support and deliver the Engineering and Technology (E&T) program of work. To perform the role effectively you provide expert specialist advice about initiatives, new and maintained engineering infrastructure and materials by supporting the department’s innovation and value for money design and asset management solutions that deliver lower embodied greenhouse gas emissions “carbon” and more client resilient infrastructure.In the role of Engineering Manager, you will use your experience and knowledge in transport infrastructure materials, design, and asset management to undertake research and delivery projects, systems and documents that provide cost-effective, sustainable engineering solutions for lower carbon and more climate resilient infrastructure.You will work with each of the functional areas within ST&RI to effectively project and program manage the delivery of tasks within agreed timeframes and budget including self-management and effective prioritisation of work.So, why join us?

Mandatory Requirements

• A four-year Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or (Environmental) degree – or equivalent which is assessed and accepted by Engineers Australia.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
• Unregistered applicants are encouraged to apply for the position, provided they are registered as a RPEQ with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland at the time of appointment.
• Current holder of a C-Class Queensland driver’s licence.
