Reporting to the Senior Administrator – Control Systems, you will provide technical expertise in maintaining and enhancing the Smartmeter data repository and SCADA environment for water and waste assets.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised technical support for Smartmeter contracts, SCADA applications, and associated IT infrastructure.
- Develop and manage backup, recovery plans, and organizational strategies for Smartmeter and SCADA systems.
- Ensure availability, security, and compliance of Smartmeter data platform and SCADA systems.
- Maintain documentation and change management processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage data access and service delivery.
- Analyze data from Smartmeter and SCADA systems to optimize operational outcomes and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to budget submissions and capital works planning.
- Identify and deliver projects related to Smartmeter and SCADA systems.
- Participate in on-call support as part of the helpdesk team.

- Tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Experience in Data Analysis, SCADA, and computer sciences related to water supply.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and WHS Competency (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in GeoSCADA, CitectSCADA, PLCs, SQL databases, and telemetry networks.
- Understanding of complex data sets and distributed control systems.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong organisational and teamwork abilities.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills.
Problem Solving:
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
