Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), you will lead initiatives to enhance educational offerings and ensure they meet rigorous standards of quality and effectiveness.As the PVC (Education), you will play a pivotal role in advancing our learning and teaching agenda. Your primary objective will be to provide strategic leadership and direction in place-based and digital education, steering our educational initiatives towards greater heights of excellence and effectiveness. Through your leadership, we will continue to innovate and evolve, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality learning experiences that prepare them for success in an ever-changing world.You will:

  • provide strategic leadership and direction to advance our learning and teaching agenda, ensuring alignment with university goals and priorities;
  • oversee the development and implementation of robust quality assurance mechanisms to enhance student outcomes and retention rates;
  • foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to promote academic integrity and innovative educational practices; and
  • lead initiatives to implement and enhance educational technologies that support contemporary curricula and maintain high standards of academic integrity.

  • a relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in senior academic leadership roles;
  • demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and implementing initiatives that enhance student success and graduate outcomes;
  • a deep understanding of current issues and trends in Australian higher education, particularly within regional universities; and
  • strong collaborative skills, with the ability to lead and support academic governance and educational development.
