Access theAbout the roleThe Queensland Health Queensland Civil Administrative Tribunal (QH QCAT) Guardianship Program Lead provides expert Statewide leadership and demonstrated specialised knowledge, skills, problem solving abilities and expertise in guardianship and administration including the governing legislative tools for the QH QCAT Guardianship Program.The Program Lead acts as a consultant for Queensland Health (QH), strategically leading the Hospital Hearing Program to meet its key performance objectives, and promotes patient flow through the inpatient facilities across QH.The role will contribute to the development of professional competence across this specialist area within the Social Work profession, whilst also identifying and prioritising opportunities to deliver education across the state in conjunction with other relevant providers. The role is also responsible for the establishment and maintenance of strategically relevant relationships with external partners, including QCAT Office of the Public Guardian (OPG), the Public Trustee of Queensland (PTQ), System Policy Branch (System Reform), Healthcare Improvement Unit (Clinical Excellence Queensland) and all Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) across Queensland.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following values within the context of the “Key Accountabilities”.   • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and, where applicable, registration or membership with the Australian Association of Social Work. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of duties.
  • The possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is required.
  • The successful applicant must not have any outstanding professional competency or ethical issues, or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership to the Association.
