An exciting opportunity exists to join the Primary and Community Health Speech Pathology Team in South Western Sydney Local Health District.We are currently recruiting to a permanent full time Speech Pathologist (Level 1/2) based at Bankstown Community Health Centre.The successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical care to children with a variety of communication difficulties. To provide a high quality speech pathology service to paediatric clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting to paediatric clients presenting with a variety of communication disorders and complex needs. The speech pathologist is also responsible for undertaking designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and administrative tasks.Where You’ll Be Working

View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Knowledge of, and the demonstrated ability to, implement the quality improvement process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and commitment to evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience and skills in assessing and managing paediatric clients (0-12 years) with a variety of communication disorders.
- Knowledge of, and ability to use multidisciplinary teamwork, and to collaborate with other services/organisations relevant to case management and service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse, vulnerable and/or at risk communities ensuring the provision of client/family centred care.
- Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver’s licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
