SWSLHD District Wide Service is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dietitian to join their team as the Early Childhood Nutrition Team Leader!The Team Leader is responsible for the management of the Nutrition and Dietetics Service, Primary and Community Health (P&CH), with a leadership role for Dietitians within the service, including the management of professional standards (in consultation with relevant discipline directors) and development of safety and quality. The position will also manage a clinical load commensurate with other duties.What You’ll be Doing
The Coordinator is responsible for the management of the SWSLHD Growing Healthy Kids (GHK) Childhood Overweight and Obesity service, with a leadership role for allied health professionals (including dietetics, exercise physiologist, psychology and others) within the service, including the management of professional standards (in consultation with relevant discipline directors) and development of safety and quality. The position will also manage a clinical load commensurate with other duties.GHK contributes to the NSW Premier’s priority of reducing overweight and obesity rates of children by 5%.For more information, please go to:

– Locally with other facility Allied Health Heads of Department, various Department of Peadiatrics and the Primary and Community Health Allied Health Manager to enhance services, standards and quality across SWSLHD
– Across SWSLHD with the Discipline Director and other Allied Health Heads of Departments (Including Hospital and acute service Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Psychology and others) to enhance overall childhood weight management services, standards and quality across the district.Where You’ll Be Working

  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and team performance
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team
  • Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills (oral and written) including advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Evidence Based Practice (EBP) into service planning and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated extensive, relevant clinical experience including advanced practice skills and management of complex caseloads.
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver’s licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
