As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering significant projects that contain IT enablers to the Melbourne Water business, and successfully achieve quality, timely, and cost-effective project outcomes, working with a range of customers, service providers, and stakeholders.

  • Planning and delivery of Projects that contain business change to meet project outcomes.
  • Managing tender, contracts and vendors to ensure they meet their contractual commitments & MW achieves best value.
  • Track iteration progress & velocity, report obstacles and identify and assist with removal of bottlenecks in the delivery process.
  • Collaborate and support other Project Managers and Scrum Masters to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Work with the team to ensure delivery of artefacts that meet an agreed standard of quality and establish a culture of quality assurance throughout the team.
  • Work with test and development staff to plan and manage deployments and user testing activities.

About You:

  • Professional Leadership mind-set and behaviour
  • Maturity and judgement necessary to contribute to complex decision making.
  • High level communication, relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Project Management practitioner certification (e.g. Prince2)
  • Senior Project Management competency-based qualification / certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large, complex ($3M+) systems and infrastructure information technology projects while balancing scope, time and cost, and working in partnership with the business.
