Our client is an Australian integrated engineering and manufacturing company that specialises in powertrain products and light to medium industrial plant and equipment, including R&D, manufacture for domestic and international distribution.
They are currently seeking the services of a Lead Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing and validating activities for their product range
This is a full time permanent position based in Adelaide SA.
Your new role:
As Lead Mechanical Engineer you will:
- Be involved in the Design and Maintenance of products such as Drivetrains and various vehicle components
- Design mounting hardware
- Involved in Test and Validation of products to ensure success of projects
- Write functional specifications for vehicle subsystems
- Interpretation of drawings for machines
- Be responsible for designing and managing projects
- Update manuals and literature as required to reflect product specification
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members
About you
- Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or approved discipline
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a related industry
- Proven ability to develop and implement software subsystems for heavy vehicles
- Experience in 3D modelling
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Experience within the manufacturing Industry is highly desirable
- Must be a self Starter and work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of heavy equipment systems safety and operation
