The Senior Analyst, Cyber Security is responsible for standard security operations. This includes managing and administering security tools and ensuring the efficacy of their application to the cyber security domain covering engineering and Maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in design, implementation and continuous uplift of cyber security tooling, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in the Engineering development and change process in relation to ICT assessment, recommendations, and advice on remediation.
- Assist with creation and amend cyber documentation in support of the program capabilities and individual systems, covering Engineering and Maintenance activities.
- Contributes to routine threat intelligence gathering tasks. Monitors and detects potential security threats and escalates in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
- Undertakes routine vulnerability assessments using automated and semi-automated tools.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience and responsibility for making moderate improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the work area.
- Ability to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility, as required.
- Ability to apply security and information assurance technical principles, theories and concepts.
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems.
- Advanced knowledge of Australian Defence and US Government security principles and standards.
