About the position
The Senior Civil Engineer position reports directly to the Principal Engineer, Civil and is responsible for managing the water supply and wastewater infrastructure network assets. The position is responsible in liaison with various internal and external stakeholders and customers, to ensure that relevant public works engineering standards are maintained, and appropriate civil asset infrastructure outcomes are achieved.
- The salary range for this position is $100,107.84 – $106,175.89 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- This is a permanent full time position based in the heart of the Toowoomba CBD.
- Council vehicle available for work use.
About the Water Infrastructure Services Team
Water Infrastructure Services (WIS) forms part of the Water and Waste Services Group (WWSG) which also includes Water Operations, Water Strategic Planning and Capital Projects and Waste Services and are responsible for carrying out asset management and maintenance of community infrastructure including, Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities, supply and collection pipeline networks and associated pumping infrastructure and three Water Supply Dams.
The primary service objective of WIS is to ensure the abovementioned assets are developed and maintained in a coordinated and integrated manner in cooperation with Water Operations and Water Strategic Planning and Capital Projects. WIS work areas are comprised of a number of sections to two areas Central and Regional:
- WIS Branch Management – Toowoomba CBD
- WIS Central (Charlton Depot)
- WIS Regional which breaks into two areas – North and South
The team goes about its business quietly and efficiently in the background but plays a crucial role in ensuring the supply of safe and clean drinking water and collection and disposal of sewerage for the Toowoomba Regional community.
