Job Description
We’re in search of a Wellbeing, Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to head up a small team. The goal is to establish and uphold a robust and compliant WH&S System and Assurance program for handling our crucial risks. This role is essential for consistently enhancing our company’s safety systems and contributing significantly to fostering a positive safety culture. We need someone who can lead and collaborate with various stakeholders in our diverse operations to put in place effective WH&S systems and enhance the skills of our leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a compliant WHS Management System
- Improve reporting mechanisms
- Build WHS capability among leaders
- Assist in preparing regular reports for leadership and the board
- Support the development and maintenance of Critical Risk and Assurance Frameworks
- Coach WHS Champions and People Leaders
- Implement and maintain WHS and Injury Management software solutions
- Facilitate learning reviews, projects, audits, and data analysis
- Support business improvement projects from a WHS perspective
- Develop frameworks for proactive action management
- Lead and manage team members
- Occasional travel to key sites in the supply chain
- Assist in delivering other Business Deliverables related to WHS investigations and Critical Incident Management
- Stay updated on emerging WHS technologies, legislation, and trends
Desired Skills and Experience
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years in WHS Management, ISO45001, and ISO 45003
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, WHS incident Reporting Systems (MYOSH or similar)
- Experience with remote and diverse business units
- ASX-listed or global company experience preferred
- Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) and Learning Review Practice is highly advantageous;
- Demonstrated experience of being a great people leader of a small team and working collaboratively in corporate team environments
- Exceptional attention to detail, numerical, and analytical skills
- Solutions focused and problem-solving abilities in ambiguous and challenging environments
- Proven track record in developing WHS Management Systems
- High knowledge of WHS and legislation
