Qualified Fixed Plant Electrician

We are seeking a qualified Fixed Plant Electrician to join a leading food-grade packaging site based in Thomastown. This role is essential for maintaining the optimum performance and safety of their equipment fixed equipment and site. Your skills will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on equipment, including breakdown, preventative, and proactive tasks, ensuring the overall health and reliability of machines and services.
• Provide electrical support site wide, including plant and office etc.
• Report breakdowns and idle time promptly to the direct manager, assisting in root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Support and focus on the implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Communicate all breakdowns, improvements, and modifications during shifts using the shift communication log book, ensuring seamless information transfer between shifts.
• Maintain a high level of performance on high-speed lines, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Continuously demonstrate job competencies in line with training and experience, fostering a motivated and proactive approach to work.
• Collaborate as a team player, effectively engaging with all employees to meet quality and performance expectations across manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications.
• Experience working in a high-pressure manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high standard of work under tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the team.
